When you open your heart to someone, really love another being, that connection is forever.
I know this from connecting with animals in Spirit for the past 15 years. The following story from my work will show you what I mean.
A woman hired me a couple of years ago to communicate with her three cats, two boys and a girl. She had adopted all 3 cats from a shelter within the past 2 years, and the boys had begun to spray.
Nothing she tried was helping. Pheromone plug-ins, moving the litter box, changing their food. She had no idea what the problem was, and was at her wits’ end. As any cat lover knows, the smell of cat pee will drive you to the edge of your sanity.
Before the communication session, I confirmed the basic information, names, ages, etc. of each cat, and all the members of her household. It was just she and the three kitties in her little family.
Then, as I got quiet within myself and extended my awareness toward the kitties to communicate, I could feel right away that they were hesitant to connect. It was like walking into a room with three cats on the sofa and not one of them will look you in the eyes.
I deepened my energy a bit and stayed in connection with the three cats, giving them the time they needed to adjust to my presence. Then, deepening my own groundedness and opening my heart just a bit more, I silently repeated to them that I am here to translate, I respect their truth, and I want to help any way I can.
One cat came forward and shared,
“We can’t talk to you until you connect with the cats in Spirit.”
I spoke his message to the woman, and she began to tear up. Right before she adopted these cats, she had lost two cats within a few months of each other. These two kitty companions had each been with her for 18+ years. She was devastated, and in an attempt to move on from her grief, she had adopted the cats she has now.
Acting upon the instructions from her living cat, I communicated with her cats in Spirit. They were still so present for their person. They each seemed at peace, and held in a space of love in the spirit world. And they each whole-heartedly approved of the current kitties in her life, telling her how much love was available for her, and that if she could open her heart to her living kitties, they would shine their love through the living kitties’ eyes when she looked at them.
The woman was shocked to hear this. She hadn’t been able to feel her cats since they passed, and wasn’t really sure about her beliefs regarding death.
Her cats in Spirit went on to share other things about their lives with her. She was very moved by the communication.
Upon reconnecting with the living cats further on in the conversation, one of the boys explained that because of her grief, there was not enough space for all of the living cats in her heart. The grief kept her distant and distracted, clouded over. And so the two male kitties were vying for the little space she did have available. The spraying was their way of competing with each other, a pissing contest if you will.
There are so many stories from my work that illustrate our animal loved ones in Spirit are there for us, still connected to our hearts, even if they have moved on and are reincarnated in another body again somewhere else.
Love really is eternal.
And when we open our hearts to another being, we weave the fabric of this Life a little more deeply with our love.
